Is there a managed way to add the appimage to autostart on ubuntu 19.xx

Is there an option in appimagd to add an appimage as autostart? If not what would be the preferred way?

We have not implemented this yet but indeed this might be a worthwhile thing to support in the future. Right now you could e.g., handle autostart file writing within your payload application (using the $APPIMAGE environment variable that points to the AppImage), or use a custom AppRun file that would write out an autostart file.
