Hi there!
I’m using the Home Assistant update entity for open display firmware but the current version numbering is quite inconvenient.
For a long time I was using firmware 1.10 and didn’t see an available update until 1.71. This is because firmware versions 1.2 through 1.7 are clearly lower than 1.10.
Could you perhaps adjust how versions are numbered? For example, 1.82 could be represented as 1.8.2 or 1.9 as 1.90. As long as the newer version is superior to the previous one.
I believe semantic versioning (x.x.x) is the most logical approach but of course, it’s your decision.
Thanks in advance!
