Investigate UX for scrolling to search matches

We currently automatically scroll the window to bring search matches into view, but the UX is pretty basic:

• When you enter a query, it selects the first match—not the match nearest to where you're currently scrolled.
• The window only scrolls when you click the up or down arrows—not as you type.

We should see what other apps do:

• Browsers?
• Editors?
