Keyboard doesn't show up when tapping the Editor on Physical Device + unable to type anything in the Editor on Emulator (Android)

Describe the bug
I was experiencing this issue when adding the editor to our project. I downloaded the sample application, and tried it out in a Emulator (Pixel 5 API 33). It seems to have the exact same issue, it is possible to delete text but not add anything.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Download the Sample project
2. Install it on a Emulator/Physical device
3. Try to add text
4. Observe nothing happening

Expected behavior
I expected the editor to be able to handle adding text

both the sofkeyboard and a physical keyboard wont work on api 35 but on the emulator with api 36 it does work
