Save editor before run

Dumb question perhaps, but just wondering whether the extension has this feature/option of saving the editor before running.

As in when you click the "play" button?

Yes. The setting "task.saveBeforeRun": "always" causes all editors to be saved when running using "Run -> Run Without Debugging" (Ctrl + F5). But this doesn't work when running through the "play" button.

I think you may be running an outdated version of our extension or using a different extension like Code Runner to run your code as we save when you hit the run button:
