CodeTorch Public Issue Tracker

Welcome to the official center for CodeTorch feedback and bug tracking!

This repository is where our community helps shape the future of the platform. Whether you've found a bug, have an idea for a new feature, or want to suggest an improvement, this is the place to do it.

How to Use This Tracker

To keep things moving fast and keep the platform stable, please follow these simple steps before posting:

  1. Search First: Before creating a new issue, use the search bar to see if someone else has already reported it.
  2. Upvote: If you find your bug or idea already listed, give it a thumbs up (👍) or leave a comment with extra details. This helps us prioritize what to build next.
  3. Be Clear: If you are reporting a bug, tell us what device you are on, what browser you are using, and exactly what steps caused the problem.

What belongs here:

  • Bug Reports: Something on the website is broken or lagging.
  • Feature Requests: Ideas for new blocks, UI changes, or website features.
  • Collaboration: Issues with real-time multiplayer coding.

What DOES NOT belong here:

  • Account Help or Bans: Please use the official CodeTorch Community Forums or "appeal" button for account issues.
  • General Chat: Go to the forums or our Discord (https://discord.gg/pnjD8GGcY6) to hang out.

The "Torchbearer" Role

You might notice some users in this repository, on the platform and on our Discord have the Torchbearer title.

Torchbearers are hand-picked community members chosen directly by the CodeTorch administrative team. Their job is to keep this tracker organized, close duplicate issues, centralize bug reports from our various community channels here and highlight the best ideas so the engineering team can build them faster.

How do you become a Torchbearer? There is no exact formula or required number of posts. We simply watch for users who consistently provide high-quality, helpful, and clear feedback to make CodeTorch better for everyone. If you stand out, we will find you.

From Idea to Reality

Once you submit a feature request or bug report, our Triage Team and Torchbearers will evaluate it.

  • We read everything, but we cannot reply to every single submission.
  • If an idea is selected, it will be added to our internal development roadmap.
  • If we decide not to build a requested feature, we will often leave a comment explaining why so our decisions remain transparent.

Security Vulnerabilities

DO NOT post critical security flaws, exploits, or privacy leaks on this public tracker. If you find a major security issue, please practice responsible disclosure and email us directly at security@codetorch.net. We take the safety of our users very seriously.
