Pull request overview

Adds a CODEOWNERS file so changes in the repository automatically request review from the designated maintainers.

Changes:

  • Introduce .github/CODEOWNERS with a default ownership rule covering the whole repo.
  • Include brief inline documentation and a link to relevant GitHub docs/team page.

💡 Add Copilot custom instructions for smarter, more guided reviews. Learn how to get started.

@FScholPer if you want to actively maintain this repo, then sure! I would ask you to join the chats & meetings then.

Many people have contributed, and maintainers = CODEOWNERS are for sure not the ones who write all the code! Currently we have the exact same file in dozens of repos, as we have @eclipse-score/infrastructure-maintainers responsible for all infrastructure repos. But that's not a must.

=> do you want to actively maintain this repo?

I think we have to define what maintain means(One pr a week....).

I think this needs to be re-done now with a CODEOWNERS file that defines some of them for a specific folder already in main
